Mollusca (Mollusks)
Mollusks have a mantle that is exposed to the outside of its body. The mantle is formed by cellular epidermis. Intake of nutrients and excretion of waste is managed by ciliary pathways. Muscular feet aid in locomotion.

The mollusks mantle aids essentially creates a shell for the animal and in many mollusks, it secretes calcium carbonate.
